PRODUCTS FOR REPAIRING CRACKS IN MASONRY

Normally, the cracks that develop in floors and walls are the result of soil settlement. Epoxy compounds produce a very strong bond to masonry and are the preferred material for repairing cracks in load bearing structures.

PRO GUARD COATINGS offers two, easy to use, products:

Proflex Flexible Epoxy™

Used for narrow cracks and fissures in horizontal structures where a penetrating, self- leveling, and flexible material is needed.

Proflex Flexible Epoxy™ is a two part, easy to mix, liquid epoxy that is poured into cracks and fissures on level surfaces. It is thin enough to self-level and flexible enough to be applied to wood. Proflex Flexible Epoxy™ does not shrink as it cures. Sand can be added to make a thin topping for spalled or deteriorating concrete. Proflex Flexible Epoxy™ should be top-coated when exposed to sunlight.

ADDITIONAL USES FOR Proflex Flexible Epoxy™
  • Use as a casting compound to make repairs and crafts.

  • Use to saturate fabrics, paper, woven reeds, and other materials to give them body.

  • Waterproofing.

and

Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel

Used for filling larger cracks and voids, regardless of position.

Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel is an easy to use lightweight two-part epoxy for trowel application. The mix ratio for Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel is a convenient equal part mixture of part A and part B. Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel's consistency eliminates slumping or sagging so it can be applied to vertical surfaces and even undersurfaces. Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel is non-shrinking and will bond to most rigid materials. Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel is perfect for those hard to do repairs around the house and shop.

ADDITIONAL USES FOR Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel:
  • Use on masonry to repair cracks and breaks.

  • Use as a mortar to seal pipe penetrations, anchor railings and wall mountings.

  • Use on wood to fill splits and knot holes in railings and posts.

  • Rebuild windowsills.

  • Use on metal and plastic to seal joints and repair breaks.

Butt Putty® Crack Filler Gel can be sanded or sawed when cured.
